CCBC Essex Knights Cruise Past Riverhawks in 12- 0 Victory

Essex, MD - The CCBC Essex Knight's men's socceer team continued their winning ways Tuesday night, defeating the Anne Arundel Community College Riverhawks by a score of 12-0. The Knights' offense was on fire all night, scoring seven goals in the first half and adding five more in the second.

Multiple players contributed to the scoring frenzy, with several players scoring multiple goals. Among the goal scorers was Aiden Hiddassy, who scored three goals in the first half, including the opening goal of the game, Bartu Yakkan scored thrice, Jose Joya and Angel Vargas-Hernandez scored once, Alexis Maldonado scored twice, and Phillipe Oliveira scored the final two goals of the game. This was a fast paced game offensively as the knights executed their ball movement excellently. 

The Knights defesne also played a strong game, only allowing the Riverhawks to get a single shot on goal. After the game, Angel Vargas-Hernandez attributed the team's win to their preparation and focus. "We knew what we needed to do and we stayed locked in," he said.

Coach Joe Fielder also praised his teams performance, highlighting their ball movement as a key factor in their success. "If we can keep moving the ball like that, we should continue to see success," he said.

This victory was another step forward for the Knights as they continue to pursue their goal of winning the region.
