Thomas H. McCarthy Jr. LAT, ATC

The Athletic Training Room at CCBC Essex is staffed by Certified and Licensed Athletic Trainer, Thomas McCarthy Jr., a 4 year veteran of MedStar Sports Medicine. T.J., as he is known, graduated from Towson University in May 2012 with a degree in Athletic Training. He has experience working with community college aged athletes of CCBC Essex, and higher level college athletes at the Division I level at Towson. 

Since joining the staff at CCBC Essex in 2012, T.J. has worked with all of the Knights’ athletic teams on campus. He enjoys coordinating with MedStar’s physician and physical therapists to get our athletes the best care possible.

CCBC’s partnership with MedStar, the area’s premier provider in Sports Health Care, allows CCBC Student-Athletes direct access to the entire comprehensive Health network that is nationally recognized for excellence in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine.
