CCBC Essex Firing On All Cylinders Against Cecil College

CCBC Essex won big over Cecil College 17-5 on Friday.
CCBC Essex got on the board in the top of the first inning after Parsons doubled, scoring two runs, Guerra Guzman hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, and Caldera singled, scoring one run.
CCBC Essex added to their early lead in the top of the second inning after Agostini doubled to right field, Rosa singled to left field, Cecil College committed an error, and Guerra Guzman singled to the right side of the infield, each scoring one run.
A double by Agostini extended the CCBC Essex lead to 10-0 in the top of the third inning.
CCBC Essex added three more runs in the top of the fourth inning on five hits. Caldera hit a solo home run to center field, Martínez Rivera singled, scoring one run, and Garcia singled, scoring one run.
CCBC Essex added three more runs in the top of the sixth inning on four hits. Rosa singled, scoring one run, and Bailey homered to center field, scoring two runs.
Amadio earned the win for CCBC Essex. The starting pitcher gave up 10 hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out four and walking three. The pitcher threw 99 pitches in the win, relying on a 4-pitch repertoire that included a 68 MPH changeup. McDowell took the loss for Cecil College. The pitcher went three innings, giving up 10 runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out none and walking three. Mosteller pitched one inning of no-run ball for CCBC Essex in relief. The righty surrendered zero hits, striking out none and walking two.
CCBC Essex amassed 20 hits in the game. Agostini went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead CCBC Essex in hits. Rosa, Agostini, Parsons, Caldera, Bailey, and Guerra Guzman each drove in two runs for CCBC Essex. Martínez Rivera and Garcia each collected multiple hits for CCBC Essex. Eisemann stole two bases. CCBC Essex ran wild on the base paths, tallying five stolen bases for the game.
