Wye Mills, MD – The 2025 CCBC Essex Knights concluded a milestone season on Sunday afternoon, falling to Anne Arundel Community College 11-1 in the Region 20 Semifinals. Despite the defeat, the Knights' season will be remembered as one of the most prolific campaigns in school history — both statistically and competitively.
�� Final Game Recap – Region 20 Semifinal
Facing elimination in the double-elimination tournament, the Knights took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the first when Justin Cook grounded out to bring in a run. But Anne Arundel responded with 11 unanswered runs, including a six-run fifth inning that broke the game open.
Starter Yadier Henriquez Lopez (Harrisburg, PA / Central Dauphin East) went 2.1 innings, allowing five runs (four earned). Anne Arundel totaled 13 hits, while the Knights were held to five.
CCBC Essex's lone RBI came from Cook. Eduardo Zayas, Maxwell Urena, Ethan Holland, Jimmy Perez, and Rafael Castillo each collected one hit. The loss ends the Knights' season at 30-27 overall and 22-17 in Region 20 play.
