BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD -- Former Knights outfielder Zach Racusin was selected to the 2016-17 College Sports Information Directors of America's (CoSIDA) Academic All-District Baseball Team District 2, as reported in a CoSIDA release on May 4.
Racusin, a graduate student at Georgetown University, had an undergraduate grade point average of 3.81 and 3.50 as a sports management grad student. Since the calculations for CoSIDA's teams, Racusin has raised his GPA to 3.65.
Racusin played for the Knights in 2014. He batted .391/.451/.450 with nine doubles, 28 RBIs and stole 22 bases in 25 attempts.
The Morristown, N.J. native started all 48 games for the Hoyas this season. He had a slash line of .350/.413/.405 with seven doubles, two triples, 27 RBIs and was 9-for-11 in stolen base attempts.
In two years at Marist College (2015-16), Racusin batted .272 with 52 RBIs, 15 doubles and four triples.
