Baltimore County, MD (July 20, 2018) -- Community College of Baltimore County Essex Athletics is teaming up with CCBC Alumni Relations for the 2018 CCBC Alumni Weekend, to be held September 21-22.
The weekend will open on Friday, September 21 with the Alumni Crab Feast from 7 p.m.-11 p.m. at the U.A.W. Hall in Middle River, Md. (1010 S. Oldham, Street).
Tickets for the crab feast are $55 through July, $60 beginning August 1, and can be purchased at http://ccbcmd.edu/Support-CCBC/Giving-to-CCBC/Give-Online-Crab-Feast-Payment.aspx.
On the following day, CCBC president Dr. Sandra Kurtinitus will kick off the day with a State of the College breakfast. There will also be educational workshops, an art show, networking opportunities, lunch, and a campus tour.
As part of the two days of festivities, the Knights will close out the celebration by hosting an Adult Scavenger Hunt & Basket Raffle, on Saturday, September 22 at 1 p.m.
The scavenger hunt will begin at the Wellness and Athletics Center.
Registration begins at 1 p.m., tickets are just $15, and are currently available for purchase at http://ccbcessexknights.com/information/2018ScavengerHunt.
Participants must be 18 years of age by the day of the event.
Proceeds from the scavenger hunt and basket raffle will support the Knights' student-athlete scholarships and special event initiatives. Participation opportunities to more than 200 student athletes is provided annually at the Essex campus.
CCBC Athletics fund raises approximately $120,000 in student aid per academic year throughout its three campuses.
Prizes for the athletic fundraiser include restaurant gift cards, discount coupons, home and garden items, sports memorabilia, fashion accessories, and more.
